2016 - Week 11 - March 7 - March 13

 Heart shaped jujube candy for the first time.

 The tea was plucked on Wednesday. We need a shower or two.

A trip to Coimbatore for business meant breakfast at Anandhaas. Lovely light Rice and Ragi Idiyappam . Anandhaas always has something new on their breakfast menu, nice way to start the day.

2016 - Week 10 - February 29 - March 6

It's been a peaceful week. A lot of time spent observing Pepper and Socks.                                                                                                       

They snuggle together and sleep entwined like Yin and Yang my mum calls them.

2016 -Week 9 - February 22 - 28

Every morning Socks and Pepper curl up and nap in the circle of my arms while I work. Last week it was only Pepper for a couple of days because Socks had been given the wrong dose of deworming medicine.Basically the vet's assistant had given a dose meant for a 50kg dog to a 1.5 kg kitten!!!
Dr. Sandeep and his colleagues at WVS , Aravankadu literally got Socks back on her feet. The vets at WVS are miracle workers. This isn't the first time they've worked their magic.In October last year Blackie was badly wounded with lacerations all over his body and it was the dedication and TLC shown by the vets at WVS which gave Blackie back to us.
I would encourage you to keep Worldwide Veterinary Service in mind the next time you want to make a contribution to any charity. The work being done there is awesome.

We put nine eggs to hatch under a brooding hen. 

An odd number of eggs, dry red chillies and a nail in a basin of sand is what it takes for eggs to hatch I've learnt from the locals.  

Waiting to see how many chicks hatch at the end of twenty one days. 

2016 - Week 8 - February 15 - 21

 On Kerala roads you get to see elephants being transported by lorry.

2016 - Week 6 - February 1 - 7

 Looks like Easter came early. Chicks.

2016 - Week 5 - January 25 - 31

 Pepper's preferred spot for a nap.

 Lillies have begun blooming in the garden.

The week ended on a tragic note when our pet Brownie was snatched by a leopard. Heartbreaking.
